Hello, and welcome to my Blog, where I will share with you many of my own healthy Paleo recipes (unlike many other recipe bloggers who just copy someone else’s recipe without even mentioning them!), tips and tricks, How To’s, and lifestyle related motivational posts!
Lately I’ve been seeing those Raw Protein Balls, or Raw Bliss Balls, everywhere – from the Social Media, to Health shops, to now Grocery Stores! The problem with getting them from a shop is that they’re so overpriced and contain some kind of a preservative to keep them fresh for long, and most of them contain dates, which some people don’t like or tolerate in their diet! They’re also so easy to make at home, and so much cheaper and healthier, especially if using ingredients from Paleo Lifestyle! My version of them contains more of the healthy Organic Virgin Coconut oil and gives options of 3 natural sweeteners, and because not a lot is being used, they’re lower in Carbohydrates/Sugars, for those of us with insulin resistance and on low carb, high fat diets!
Now, to the recipe:
Raw Vegan+Paleo cocoa almond protein balls (LCHF)
▪️3Tbsp Paleo Lifestyle Organic Virgin Coconut oil (Get it HERE)
▪️2Tbsp Agave or Maple syrup (or Honey if non Vegan)
▪️150g Ground Almonds
▪️2Tbsp Paleo Lifestyle Organic Cacao powder (Get it HERE)
▪️dash of Ceylon Cinnamon
Melt the coconut oil in a bowl & add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well and roll out balls of preferred size. Roll them in either Organic Desiccated Coconut, or Paleo Lifestyle Organic Cacao powder, or just eat as they are. Keep in the fridge. YUM!
Macros per recipe: 113g Fat, 38g Carbs, 35g Protein
As there are 8 bliss balls in the picture, each ball has 14g Fat, 4.75g Carbs, 4.37g Protein
